Effective July 9, 2026. Inspector Gadgets is operated by EB28, Melbourne, Florida. The short version: your inspection work belongs to you, we store the minimum needed to run your account, and we don't sell anything to anyone.
1. What we store
- Account: your name, business name, email, username, and a hashed password (we can't read it).
- Plan & usage: which plan you're on and a count of inspections started, so limits work.
- Inspection records: the properties you save while signed in — including client names, addresses, photos, findings, and signatures — synced to our server so your work follows you across devices.
- Payments: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers; we keep only your Stripe customer reference and subscription status.
2. Where lookups go
When you research an address, the app queries public government sources (state parcel rolls, FEMA flood maps, county GIS, county/city permit portals) and our own records service. Those requests carry the property address only — never your client's name or contact details.
Your clients' information is not our product. We don't sell it, share it, advertise with it, or mine it. It exists in the Service for exactly one purpose: producing your reports.
3. Cookies & local storage
The app uses browser storage for your session token and on-device working data. There is no advertising or cross-site tracking of any kind on the app or this site.
4. Who can see your data
- You, on any device you sign in from.
- Our administrators, only as needed for support and account management.
- Service providers that host the infrastructure (web hosting, Stripe for payments), bound to their own security obligations.
- Nobody else, unless the law compels us.
5. Retention & deletion
Inspection records stay until you delete them. You can export complete copies anytime. To delete your account and its server-side data, email us — we'll confirm and remove it within 30 days. Billing records are retained as required for tax and accounting.
6. Security
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt, transport is HTTPS, tokens expire, and account data is scoped per user. No system is perfect; if we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we'll notify you promptly at your account email.
7. Changes & contact
Updates will be posted here with a new effective date. Questions or deletion requests: richducat@gmail.com.
